It’s August and as usual there are a bunch of people who celebrated their birthdays in office, so obviously there was supposed to be bunch of birthday treats. However three of my friends decided that they would combine it and treat us in U.S Pizza .So juggling around and after lot of postponing it was decided that it was going to be on Wednesday.
It was Wednesday, and it’s really tough to get people leave there desks and come along for the party, you know the usual calls and work stuff, yet everyone left in one group., I left first with the hosts :P and it’s unclear on how other people started but based on what I heard let me just try to narrate.
The place is just 10 minutes’ walk from company, when we left it was still warm but cloudy. I said “it might rain” (I did say, seriously). We walked, and just couple of minutes after we started it started to drizzle and by the time we reached the place it started to rain, like heavy rain. We ran to the place just to avoid being too wet , yet we were drenched. So, we waited, it was heavily raining, suddenly it looked like six in the evening, I couldn’t see the faces my best buddy hosts – they had this blooper face :D, we were just six people who made it till the place and rest hadn’t even started. We thought, they might not make it..suddenly it felt like all b’day treat party gonna go in vain., all because of this dumb stupid party pooper rain!!
So we started calling everyone just to find out that they had already started and they got stuck in rain, and all the way till the destination there wasn’t a single place where they could have taken shelter, and they weren’t even able to get a cab or an auto.
So we just waited,after a while when I looked out they started coming :D in pairs walking towards us., drenched in rain :D god it was sooo funny, recently I hadn’t seen people who were drenched in rain so bad :P and to look at all their faces, I felt guilty and funny at the same time :D
My friends, colleagues and my TL, you don’t get to see your TL drenched in rain very often :P (I felt bad tho) they were all shivering..
Just so I managed to take few pics ( it would be such a waste if this moment wasn’t captured :P)

Anu was all scared to even say something because of inviting all for party & finding them wet :P.It was funny when Sumith was confused with Chik peas (wondering if its veg or not! After serving it to himself :D), poor waiter was in really bad mood I believe. He said the word “non veg” for a pizza three times with all the dullness in world :P, Pavitra was disappointed that tandoori chicken pizza did not taste anything like tandoori as she expected .. rest all looked happy and few left early. Hemanth sat and ate until he was completely satisfied and Abhishek waited for one more dessert with the presumption that dessert is unlimited as pizza :D I’m sure he was disappointed. Sushma gulped all the icecream in one go when we were to leave :D ( you should have seen her face :D) & I was surprised to find Shruthi was scared of thunder,when a thunder hit, damn she literally squeezed my arms out of fear n it hurt so much :P
If not for which I had to hurry back for the meeting, I’m sure I would have stayed till end and enjoyed even more.
You know it is really fun to watch your coworkers in different mode than usual, all wet and weird :D:P

Except for pizza and soup, all sides were cold but tasty,
but can’t imagine how others enjoyed it, sitting in AC and with wet cloths
shivering…nobody looked pissed off tho J
